OKTA donates firefighting equipment for Municipality of Ilinden

(Skopje, 07.05.2015)
– The Municipality of Ilinden received firefighting equipment from the company OKTA that will be used by the Voluntary firefighting association of the Municipality, which consists of a firefighting vehicle and other supplementary equipment (pumps, firefighting ladder, hoses, different types of nozzles, dividers, collectors etc.)

“The long-lasting collaboration with the Municipality plays an important role in OKTA’s corporate social responsibility program. This donation will enable the Municipality to be capable to solely intervene in case of necessity. We are confident that our support will continue with the realization of our mutual projects”, said Ioannis Geroulanos, Chief Executive Officer of OKTA.
With the donated equipment, OKTA’s firefighting unit from the Health, Safety and Environment Department will provide training for the members of the firefighting association for appropriate handling of the equipment.

“The donated firefighting equipment will provide us better control and mobility during natural disasters and other misfortunes. This donation is of significant importance because we will also be provided with training that will make using the donated equipment easier. With this, we are saving a significant amount of financial resources. It is a great pleasure that we continue our successful collaboration with OKTA, which we see as our long-term partner and friend” said Zika Stojanovski, Mayor of the Municipality of Ilinden.
The firefighting equipment will provide assistance in maintaining and increasing the efficiency in cases of firefighting, occurrence of natural disasters, as well as other misfortunes.
