OKTA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and RCRTS with a joint campaign

"Where are you rushing to? Don't rush so you can get there!" - OKTA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and RCRTS with a joint campaign for greater road safety

Skopje, 02.06.2025 - Under the tagline "Where are you rushing to? Don't rush so you can get there!", OKTA launches the road safety campaign in cooperation and with the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the Republic Council on Road Traffic Safety (RCRTS). The goal of the campaign is to raise public awareness of the importance of greater attention of all traffic participants. Within the framework of the campaign, a series of activities will be undertaken that will inform, educate and alert, in an innovative way, for greater attention in traffic.

"One of the priorities in OKTA's social responsibility strategy is road safety. We have established dedicated and careful approach in realization of activities and campaigns aimed at raising public awareness on the importance of remaining a responsible participant in traffic. This is implemented not only through donations, but also through educational workshops and campaigns that involve relevant partners from the society. The precise direction that should be followed towards improving traffic culture and reducing negative road statistic in the country, is education and prevention”, said Dimitrios Paschos, Chief Executive Officer of OKTA.

The campaign "Where are you rushing to? Don't rush so you can get there!", is focused on warning the public about the danger of irresponsible behavior in traffic through real-life situations, in order to encourage a change in the habits and behavior of traffic participants.

"The situation on the ground indicates that in addition to regular controls by our teams, cooperation and active involvement of multiple stakeholders in raising awareness among people is needed. Practice shows that information and education are very important in preventing a greater number of accidents. That is why we are confident that this campaign will contribute to what is our common goal - safe streets and roads for all traffic participants," said Pance Toshkovski , Minister of Internal Affairs.

According to data, the majority of accidents occur as a result of carelessness while driving.

"The fast and dynamic lifestyle increases the percentage of traffic accidents, which for us is an additional alarm for intensifying activities aimed at prevention, through education to raise public awareness among all traffic participants. We believe that this campaign, through innovative and essential messages, will contribute to traffic participants being conscientious and paying greater attention," emphasized Goran Angelovski, President of the Republic Council on Road Traffic Safety.

The campaign "Where are you rushing to? Don't rush so you can get there!", is being launched by OKTA through the platform "Jas Vnimavam", which is one of the pillars on which the social responsibility strategy is based. In 2017, this platform was awarded as the best national socially responsible practice at the annual event organized by the Coordinating Body for Corporate Social Responsibility and the Ministry of Economy. The platform was presented as the most effective and comprehensive in terms of the issues it deals with. JAS VNIMAVAM was selected in competition with 15 large companies with a total of 24 projects.
