The Training Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will also be supplied with energy from a photovoltaic power plant – a donation from OKTA

Skopje, 18/12/2025 A new photovoltaic power plant will serve the energy needs of the Training Center  of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Idrizovo. The power plant with an installed capacity of 39.6 kWp in the Training Center, where basic and specialized police training takes place, is a donation from OKTA, and the project is part of the company's initiatives to improve the quality of life of the community in facilities of public interest.

OKTA CEO Dimitrios Paschos emphasized that the company remains committed to the implementation of investments in green energy, which have a significant positive impact on the community.

"In addition to other projects in the energy sector, OKTA is actively implementing initiatives in the field of green energy. We want to put our acquired experience to work for the community and, together with our partners, implement activities that will have a significant impact and encourage new projects in this area. OKTA remains committed to this process and in the future we will continue to improve cooperation with partners and the community. I sincerely believe that this donation will bring new value to the Training Center and enable its development," emphasized OKTA CEO Dimitrios Paschos.

The new photovoltaic power plant will have an annual production of 53.46 MWh of green energy. With its operation, the Training Center will reduce CO₂ emissions by 42.7 tons per year, which is a significant contribution to reducing the carbon footprint and protecting the environment.

Minister of Internal Affairs Pance Toshkovski emphasized that the donation will have a major impact on efforts to increase the use of green energy in public institutions and added:

"This photovoltaic power plant will contribute to the modernization of the energy infrastructure of our Training Center, which is one of the strategic institutions of the Ministry of Interior. Additionally, through this donation, the Training Center will use a clean energy source, which will reduce the Ministry of Interior's energy costs, and the funds can be redirected to other development projects of interest to the institution. Such partnerships are an example of how the state, and the private sector can jointly build a sustainable future and are an encouragement to other companies to follow such practices," said Minister Toshkovski.

Within the framework of its long-standing cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, OKTA actively contributes to increasing traffic safety through the "I watch out" platform. As part of this campaign, the company donated photovoltaic traffic signs placed near several primary schools, in order to better protect the youngest participants and raise public awareness for responsible participation in traffic.

The latest donation is part of OKTA's continuous investments in renewable energy sources. The company has so far donated photovoltaic systems to several educational institutions, i.e. schools and kindergartens across the country. In the coming period, several more installations of photovoltaic systems in public institutions are planned as a donation from OKTA. By investing in green energy solutions and partnerships with institutions, OKTA confirms its long-term commitment to the energy transition and creating a cleaner and sustainable environment.
