As part of the corporate strategy, OKTA is committed to respond and contribute in a meaningful way to the society where we work and live. Considering the fact that we are one of the biggest companies in the country, we believe that by using our resources and manpower we could contribute for the good of the whole community. We recognize the responsibility to be a good corporate citizen and therefore we are devoted to achieving tangible and measurable benefits for our employees, our customers and the wider society.

Our employees also have an important role in the socially responsible concept of the company, who often voluntarily initiate and engage in humanitarian activities.

In this context, the most significant initiatives of OKTA during 2020 are the following:

  • Donation of medical equipment in amount of 65.000 euros to support the health system in combating the epidemic caused by the virus SARS-CoV-2. The company donated video bronchoscope, 16 infusion pumps as well as 3.000 serologic tests for the needs of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases in Skopje. 
  • Donation of 30 laptops and 10.000 protective face masks in order to assist the uninterrupted education in the primary schools within the territory of Municipality of Ilinden. 
  • OKTA together with its employees donated air purifiers at the Children’s Clinic in Skopje, through an organized eco-action for collecting electrical and electronic waste. 
  • Five scholarships for postgraduate studies were awarded to students for three different faculties at the St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje.
  • Sponsorship of Greek language courses in Skopje intended for adolescents between the ages of 14 and 18, university students as well as young employees.
  • Support of cultural activities by sponsoring the online broadcast of the renowned music festivals such as Skopje Jazz Festival and OFFest. 
  • OKTA supported the online International Conference "ENERGY 2020".
  • Donation for the organization of humanitarian race for support of people with rare Wilson's disease.
  • Red Cross organization within OKTA organizes blood donation actions three times a year where a large number of company’s employees participate.
